Hi. I love the trilogy - those three books are now tied (with the first five Harry Potter books and "You don't know me") for my favourite ever! I wrote some fanfiction for it - I have four rhyming poems. They're about the end of Firesong, and none of them are shippy. If you want to read them, they're here. These books are shamefully underrated, but someday they'll become famous. The Harry Potter books came out in 1997, and they didn't become popular until years later! So when these books finally get the credit they deserve, we can say we loved them before they became popular!

I know. I'm so awful, I've loved HP since the old days and watched it ascend to fame and hated all the hype. I want WOF to be loved and not exploited. I think HP was somewhat mutelated by WB. *grr*

Well, the Wind on Fire trilogy, if it ever does get more... loudly-popular, will be somewhat more carefully looked after. The author is a screenwriter, he does know how these things work, he would write the screenplay for the movie, and will only sell the rights to a company he trusts.

So, will leave somewhat less room for weirdness than with what happened with HP.

And also, WoF was never the series that would create major hype around it. I mean, I somehow doubt there would be figurines. Or plushies. Or lego sets.

Yeah! And I think William Nicholson isn't too keen on selling the rights anyways. He's smart like that. We do have a neat littlebig undreground thing going on anyhoo. :)
